i survived obs!
cousteau rock

day1:
everyone was dreading obs after hearing from their seniors.
and there was a wall between the classes
and even between classmates in 306
so we took a long time to take out everything from the store
took damn long to have lunch
totally no sense of time
chloe was quite upset D:
did trust fall and belaying after that
cause we took long at first
we had to cook dinner and pitch our tents in the dark
and cause its the first time
everyone was very inexperienced
rice was uncooked
tents were saggy
everyone only took a few mouthful of food
and the rest were thrown away
sleeping in the tent was extremely stuffy
no ventilation
and i forgot to bring prickly heats up
bad bad bad night
bad bad bad first day

day2:
checked the friggin gross toilet ><
flooded
pads on the floor
toilets not flushed
amazing aroma of urine
had kayaking lesson after that
was sort of looking forward to it
capsizing was quite fun :D
kayaked to camp one
saw a pinkish purple polka dotted jelly fish
small red fishes were swimming around it
scoped it up with my paddle :D
did height elements at camp one
the inverted whatever you call it thingum
joey belayed for me
partnered clarice
reached the top :D
belayed for tracy
fun but tiring
WE HAD CATERED FOOD!!!
dinner and supper was simply good
cause we had our dearest cold drinks:D
our table drank more than 3 beakers of peach thingum

day3:
everyone woke up at 4 cause it started pouring D:
tent was leaking
got poncho from ling ting
and ran to the bag place with yu han
rained for 6 friggin hours
cannot set off for land ex due to the rain
so we had lunch quite early
played big fish small fish and jumping fish :D
so the rain finally stopped
set out for land ex in that dunno how many kg backpack
sang songs all the way
"and the moon shone high in the clear blue sky
and all was bright and gay-ay-ay-ay-ay"
and loads of other randon songs :D

but we took a long time finding our second checkpoint
cause the map was last updated in 2003
AND THE CHECKPOINT WAS BESIDE A LOVER'S GRAVE!
and chloe and connel keep saying things to make us confused
smiling weirdly and all D:
other stations went on well
was damn happy to reach our destination
5hrs of tracking . phew!
but it was infested with red ants
had magee mee for the night

day 4:
sea ex!!
was looking forward to it actually
weather was relatively okay
except for lunch time when the sun was out
kayaked from 9am to 4.30pm
12.5 km
applied loads of sunblock
the stripe thingum i wore to protect my arms from the sun
made me look like a zebra D:
a tiny swordfish jumped into my kayak ><
i put it in a bottle
but it didn't survive the journey D:
sea ex didn't turn out as fun as i thought it'll be
many can't really control the kayak well
so they were lagging behind
but people in front were going at a fast speed
and they dont want to slow down and wait for those behind
some of them were so desperate they cried
quite upset
had a amazing bath after that
never felt so clean in the 4 days :D
had our goodbye dinner after that
they provided us with carrots cabbages long bean
mushroom eggs baked beans garlic and other stuff
rice was still uncooked ><
but the eggs with onions and luncheon meat wasn't too bad
long beans with cabbage and garlic was good too:D
we categorized our food under safe and unsafe ><
chloe said our effort was grade A :D
connel even took a few more mouthfuls :D
enjoyable dinner

day 5:
the day to say goodbye
played loads of games in the morning
packed up
finished our emotional roller coaster
got back out handphones and stuff
sang joey happy birthday song
debrief
bye bye and goodbye
reach singapore
reach school
wait for pang
go home

overall, obs was enjoyable
and definitely unforgettable
